..to be true to ourselves, to those within and without our circle..
WHAT WE ARE ALL ABOUT The Annapolis Alumnae Chapter of ZTA is made up of Zetas from Anne Arundel, Howard, Queen Anne's, and Kent counties. We are a fun-loving group that ranges from new college graduates to members in their youthful 70s and 80s. We plan events and programs to match our members' interests.
HISTORY Melva Heer was the moving force behind the founding of the chapter. After a Zeta Day in Easton in the late 1970s, a group of ZTAs decided to start an alumnae chapter. The group included Melva Heer, Dorothy Slack, Lillian Shelton, Pat Troy, Pat Labelle, Barbara Cromwell, and Fern Frye. The Annapolis, Maryland Alumnae Chapter of ZTA was chartered on October 23, 1983.
COLLEGIATE SUPPORT Our chapter supports Gamma Beta at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Although the chapter is one hour away from us, we do our best by helping with recruitment, attending their Alumnae events each semester and helping with their Family Picnic each spring.
